The HAWK
airframes combine field-proven designs with rugged
aerospace-quality composite construction. Initially developed as
low-cost, expendable aerial targets, these airframes form a
potent combination of dual-use, field-proven and in-production
platforms to suit a variety of user requirements. Ideally suited
for short range tactical applications from 10-30 km, the HAWK
aircraft have proved their multi-mission capabilities and
reliability in a series of field trials ranging from
experimental electronic payload test-beds, surveillance
platforms and in air defense applications. The basic cantilever
platform and composite structure provides a stable aerodynamic
and load-carrying configuration for the most demanding tasks.
Wing hard-points and payload access hatches enable different
modules to be carried on demand and provide ease of maintenance
in the most hostile environments. If fly-ability and reliability
are the keywords in hot, sandy and wet conditions – look no
further than the HAWK family.
Light and fast, the
HAWK series of aircraft can be powered by engines ranging from
10-25 bhp and are ideally suited for rapid deployment and
reconnaissance. With a 4.25m (14ft.) wingspan and large payload
area a variety of experimental payloads can be accommodated.
